Justin brings to S Billing & Associates, over 15 years’ experience from both public and private practice working with clients in the areas of industrial relations, employment law, discrimination and equal opportunity law and general commercial litigation.
Justin has considerable experience in representing employers in relation to complex litigation proceedings in the Federal Court, Fair Work Commission and Western Australian Industrial Commission. Justin has regularly provided advice and assistance regarding all areas of employment law including unfair dismissal matters, general protection claims, contractual benefit claims, enterprise agreement making and negotiations and the drafting of contracts of employment.
Justin was previously the Director of Industrial Relations at the North Metropolitan Health Service and has a comprehensive understanding of operational requirements and advising of strategies for workplace policies and procedures as well as the importance of providing practical legal advice to clients.
In addition to his experience within the health sector, Justin has advised a number of mining, construction, industrial, manufacturing companies as well small to medium sized businesses in both Western Australia and across Australia.
Justin has also conducted numerous complex workplace investigations which have involved examining serious allegations against senior management and the presenting of those findings to the company board.
When Justin is not in the office, he enjoys attending music events ranging from international choirs to local upcoming bands, reviewing the latest craft beers and spending quality time with his wife, son and Brussels Griffon called Gidget.
