Serena is a pragmatic, lateral problem solver. Serena has more than 20 years of relevant work experience having worked in senior operational IR and HR roles in the public and private sectors in WA and NSW (and including 13 years of post-admission legal experience in NSW | VIC | WA). Serena brings a wealth of practical experience to her role as a lawyer/ licensed investigator.
With her varied background and experience, Serena is an intuitive factual investigator whose attention to detail is meticulous. Serena can be utilised to conduct independent factual investigations or if required, provide advice on the findings of fact and make recommendations. Being able to approach an investigation from different angles (as an IR | HR practitioner, an investigator and solicitor who has had carriage of unfair dismissal cases) – Serena can bring a unique perspective and understanding to a matter.
In addition to her practice in employment/ IR law, Serena is a generalist and has also practised in the areas including commercial litigation, mining and resources and wills and estates.
Serena’s clients appreciate her professionalism, commercial sensibility and attention to detail.
When Serena is not in the office, she loves spending time with her children and creating resin artwork.
